Once a decision has been made by either the Admission to Practice Committee or the Admissions Committee, you may request a review or re-evaluation of your file under certain conditions. This allows you to include new information that was not part of your initial application. Find out how to submit your request on this page.
Please note that all forms are currently available in French only. If you need assistance understanding the content, please contact our team.
Depending on your profile, you may be eligible to contest a committee’s decision. A review is applicable when you do not have new facts to present.
If you disagree with a decision by the Admission to Practice Committee and do not have any new facts to present, you have 30 days from the date you received the decision to submit a Request for Review.
If you are contesting an unfavorable decision by the Admissions Committee and have no new facts to present, you have 15 days from the date you received the decision to submit a Request for Review.
In both cases, a processing fee applies; the amount is specified on the form.
A re-evaluation provides an opportunity to present new information that could change the outcome of your application. For your request to be considered, the information must be new; documents or facts that have already been evaluated will not be the subject of a new analysis.
To submit your request, complete the appropriate form and include all required supporting documents based on your situation.
You can submit these new elements as part of a request for re-evaluation.
This is your opportunity to demonstrate how your recent learning experiences address the gaps identified in your file. To do so, provide a Comparative Analysis Table that clearly establishes the link between the course or training content and the identified gaps.
If you wish to have a course taken at a Canadian educational institution recognized, please refer to the equivalent courses section.
Once you have completed your table, be sure to attach all supporting documents that substantiate the information in your application. Below are the types of documents we accept:
These experiences may be considered in a request for re-evaluation if they demonstrate that you have addressed one or more gaps identified in your file.
Each experience submitted must be supported by a Professional Experience Certification Form. On this form, describe the tasks you performed in detailed terms in relation to the identified gaps. The form allows you to demonstrate the skills you have developed in a real-life context.
To help you write your descriptions, we invite you to consult the reference document on describing professional experience. This document is in French for now, but designed to guide you through the process.
Each form must be reviewed and signed by a referee, such as a supervisor, colleague, client, or supplier, who can attest to your responsibilities and competencies.
If you have gaps in your “engineering science” experience, please contact us so that we can provide you with an alternative form.
Once you have gathered all your documents, including the form, send them as one clearly labeled PDF by email.
