Cases of illegal practices or usurpation of title
Quebec courts impose sanctions on individuals and corporations found guilty of illegal practice or usurpation of title. The Publication Policy provides that a notice must be published within 30 days following the date of the final judgment and be withdrawn 5 years later.
However, the OIQ may, at the request of the person concerned by the judgment, withdraw the notice before the end of the time limit if that person becomes an engineer or regains their title.
