Illegal practice and improper use of the title “engineer”
Quebec courts impose sanctions on individuals and corporations found guilty of illegal practice or improper use of the title “engineer.” To ensure transparency and deter misconduct, final judgments declaring a person guilty of one of these charges or imposing a penalty are published on this website for five years. However, the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec may, at the person’s request, remove the notice before the end of this period if they become or regain their status as an engineer.
