An overview is provided below. Full eligibility criteria are outlined in the<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oiq.qc.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/documents\/membre\/Guide_CPI_FR.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Practical Component Guide<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 19px; letter-spacing: 0px;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<h3><strong>INTERNSHIP<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Completed after obtaining 60 university credits and before earning the degree or its equivalent. A summer engineering position may be recognized as an internship if it is supervised by a professional engineer.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>ENGINEERING WORK EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Any supervised experience that begins after the degree has been obtained (or after the equivalency date for individuals educated outside Canada). Periods of less than six months are rarely accepted. It is strongly recommended to wait at least 12 months before submitting technical competencies.<\/p>\n<h3>MASTER\u2019S OR DOCTORAL DEGREE IN ENGINEERING<\/h3>\n<p>A research period completed as part of a research\u2011based master\u2019s degree or a doctoral program in engineering. An applied project is eligible if it lasts a minimum of six months on a full\u2011time basis.<\/p>\n<h3>CERTIFICATION OR OTHER TRAINING<\/h3>\n<p>Certain training activities, such as university\u2011level engineering courses or certifications offered by an authorized organization, may help demonstrate the acquisition of specific competency elements, provided they include a significant practical component. However, these activities are intended only to support the demonstration of competencies and cannot be counted toward the required months of experience.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>                                                                            <\/div>\n                                <\/div>\n                            <\/div>\n                        <\/div>\n                    <\/div>\n                                    <\/div>\n                            <div class=\"ns-inner\">\n                    <div class=\"ns-content\">\n                        <div class=\"container\">\n                            <div class=\"row\">\n                                <div class=\"col-12\">\n                                    <div class=\"ns-title\">\n                                                                                    <h2 class=\"ns-title\">Supervision<\/h2>\n                                                                            <\/div>\n                                <\/div>\n                                <div class=\"col-12\">\n                                    <div class=\"ns-txt\">\n                                                                                    <div class=\"wysiwyg \">\n\t<p>Throughout the practical component, you will work under the supervision of a professional engineer with a valid permit. Your supervisor is a partner in your professional development. They will help you set objectives, provide regular feedback, and evaluate your progress at the end of each training period.<\/p>\n<p>The OIQ places great importance on the supervisor\u2019s evaluation. Their evaluation of your competencies helps validate your self-assessment.
