Quebec and France have signed an agreement to facilitate the mutual recognition of professional qualifications. This agreement promotes professional mobility and enables engineers trained in France to work in Quebec while they are in the process of obtaining their full permit. It supports their seamless integration into the local workforce and accelerates the overall process.<\/p>\n

Under the agreement, graduates of an accredited engineering programme or educational establishement in France can obtain a temporary restrictive permit (TRP) to work in Quebec. This permit allows them to use the title “ing. PRT or TRP’ during the transitional period until they obtain a full permit and are registered on the OIQ’s Roll.<\/p>\n

What you need to know about the TRP permit<\/h4>\n

Period of validity<\/strong>: the TRP permit is temporary and remains valid until you obtain a full professional permit.<\/p>\n
