Following to an inquiry on violations of his ethical obligations between 2002 and 2009, Rosaire Sauriol acknowledged having paid a benefit to a political party or its representatives with a view to making sure that the firm where he served as an executive could participate in competitive bidding processes for municipal contracts in Montreal and Longueuil and having tolerated a system that made it possible to circumvent certain steps in the municipal competitive bidding processes for these cities. Rosaire Sauriol resigned and has not been a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec since September 19, 2013. He agreed to not register again on the roll of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.

Jean-Pierre Sauriol resigned and has not been a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec since September 8, 2015. He agreed to not register again on the roll of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
These decisions are effective as Rosaire and Jean-Pierre Sauriol have abandoned the appeal proceedings they instituted with the Tribunal des professions.
