“This transition has no effect on the OIQ's commitment to take firm action to protect the public, find future solutions and manage transparently. On the contrary, the OIQ's Board of Directors is more determined than ever to continue to make changes that restore the public’s confidence. The OIQ is taking action and changes are already well underway,” said the new OIQ President.
Mr. Bilodeau has been an active member of the OIQ's Board of Directors since 2006 and has sat on the Executive Committee since 2009. Prior to his appointment to the presidency, he acted as Vice President of the OIQ and as Vice President of Public Affairs.
An advanced thermodynamics and energy efficiency specialist, Bilodeau is President of Groupe Énerstat Inc. and Chair of the Board of Directors of Novacab Inc. He has led several large-scale vehicle and building energy management and storage projects. He has authored various patents on energy storage, thermal systems and energy management. Since 1994, he has worked successively as a lecturer and as an associate professor at the Université de Sherbrooke.
