Michel Émond is struck off the OIQ’s roll for a period of 14 months for the actions he committed while working for SNC-Lavalin. This sanction reflects Mr. Émond’s excellent cooperation with the inquiry conducted by the OIQ’s Office of the Syndic. Read this decision.
In these decisions, the Disciplinary Council also ordered the three respondents to pay all costs in connection with the disciplinary proceedings, including publication costs.
As Mr. Langlois and Mr. Émond are no longer OIQ members, their penalties will become enforceable when they have registered again on the OIQ's roll.
The sanctions imposed by the Disciplinary Council are meant to protect the public by dissuading professionals from repeating offences and by setting an example for other members of the profession.
