The STRENG.TH student section

The Order welcomes you!

STRENG.TH forges the initial bond between you and the OIQ-the first bond of an enduring relationship.

By becoming a member:

• You are learning more about the profession and its members through activities organized by the Order.
• You are laying the groundwork for a special relationship with your future professional order.
• You become eligible for the OIQ's Student award of Merit. This year, the OIQ will award three prizes attesting to the pursuit of excellence by students. The first prize will be for $7,500, the second for $5,000 and the third for $3,000.
• You qualify for a wide range of services, including:
  • A subscription to PLAN, the Order's magazine.
  • A subscription to STRENG.TH, the student section's newsletter.

STRENG.TH is a dynamic and influential group that is active in all of Quebec's engineering departments and institutes.

Admission is free. To qualify, you must have 30 or more undergraduate credits in engineering (other than exceptions) or be enrolled as an engineering graduate student.

Exceptions to eligibility conditions

Students enrolled in a combined bachelor's/master's degree program are eligible to enrol in the Student Section, even if they have 120 or more credits.

Students enrolled in an undergraduate engineering program who have 120 or more credits and who have not completed mandatory coursework for their bachelor's degrees are eligible to enrol in the Student Section.
