How to obtain an engineer's permit

You must follow a specific procedure Procedure for obtaining the engineer's permit in Quebec and meet certain requirements to receive an engineer's permit. You start by obtaining your junior engineer's permit. The specific process depends on your particular situation:

  • You earned your engineering degree in Quebec

Regulation respecting the diplomas issued by designated educational institutions which give access to permits or specialist's certificates of professional orders

  • You earned your (unrecognized) degree in another field in Quebec
  • You earned your degree elsewhere in Canada
