Professional Inspection Committee

Date created: Created by resolution of the Board of Directors on May 27, 1977 (BU-770139).

Mission: Established under section 109 of the Professional Code and defined in section 112 of the Professional Code and the Regulation respecting the Professional Inspection Committee of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, the mission of the Professional Inspection Committee (PIC) is to monitor the practice of the profession by members and conduct inspections on the competence of any engineer, where appropriate. The PIC is supported in its duties by inspectors who are responsible for monitoring the practice of the profession, inspectors who are in charge of conducting inspections of professional competence, experts and the Professional Affairs Department.
