    Student Activities

The best way to get to know each other!

The OIQ is actively involved in the activities of engineering student. Such activities remain the best way for the order to get to know-and to be known by-emerging engineers!

The Order provides its support to different events each year. For example, the Order sponsors activities that bring together students from different institutions. It also participates in professional orientation days, in the Compétition québécoise d'ingénierie (the Quebec engineering competition), in the Jeux de génie du Québec (Quebec's engineering games), in science camps, etc. In conjunction with Concordia University, the Order co-hosts an event entitled: "Le génie : une profession, une passion !"

The Order plays an active role in the congress of CRÉIQ (the Confédération pour le rayonnement des étudiants en ingénierie du Québec, formerly CoFIQ). At this congress, which brings together the heads of student associations from Quebec's various engineering departments and institutes, the Order holds a workshop and a conference.

The Order also works with student media and participates in "prise je jonc" (passing on of the ring) ceremonies.
