Drug and Health Insurance Plans
Effective January 1, 2017, OIQ members may take out prescription drug and health insurance through Engineers Canada, in collaboration with Manulife.
OIQ members under age 65 who are not eligible for the public prescription drug plan and members who are not covered by the group plan of:
· their employer;
· their spouse’s employer; or
· a professional association they are a member of;
must join the group prescription drug insurance plan available to them through their professional order. As provided by law, they must also extend its coverage to their spouse and their dependent children.

Automobile and Home Insurance
The OIQ has entered into a tripartite agreement with Engineers Canada and TD Meloche Monnex. Engineers Canada runs that program while TD Meloche Monnex provides automobile and home insurance services to OIQ members and students.
